She’s currently living between Buenos Aires and Patagonia where she works as a photographer, curator, teacher and cultural agent.
Is the general coordinator and creator of a Latin American educational network called “Creadores de imágenes”, a production and research workshop, editorial and an artists collective movement.
Co-director of INFO, Feria de arte independiente de Fotografía, together with Luis Juárez and Estrella Herrera.
She works in a multidisciplinary duet with Joaquín Wall and they are both also part of Quimera Gallery. As part of their multidisciplinary and collaborative practice, Julia and Joaquín work having in mind the individual and collective body, the properties of light, la materia, gravity and their chances to meet and relate to each other. From different formats, they question the scale and its body and space representation. Their work is aimed at thinking the human being in relation to its capacity to bond, to de-identify themselves and transform, thus pursuing new ways and possibilities to meet and be together.
Co-creator of “Pista” together with Catalina Bartolomé, a place for dancing and looking at photos which brings together various artistic expressions and also, it engages the audience to participate actively. Now, it has moved to “Dance at home” for the web format.
She is collaborator in FELIFA, Feria de Libros de Foto de Autor.
She participated at exhibitions, residencies, fairs and festivals in Latin America and Europe.
